Minecraft, at its core, is a building game. Every time minecraft has an update, builders out there will cross there fingers hoping for a new building option. A new block, a new function, anything. Well, on the odd occasion a mod will come out with such a great idea, mojang is bound to see it and be inspired. The Fancy Fences mod by Koopinator is just such an awesome addition, anything I say here will be an under statement.
The Fancy Fences mod adds a variety of new walls/fences into the game. Things such as: Cobblestone walls, Sandstone, brick, etc etc. These walls work just like fences, in the sense that they’re one and a half block high so you can’t jump over them. These new fences can be quite useful, but mostly very good for design. I’m sure many great builders out there will build magnificent designs using these new blocks. You can create proper stone walls, pillars for ancient temples or just nice stands for some glowstone. Get creative!
The Fancy Fences mod is a small, yet huge addition to the game. In fact, you’ll be happy to hear that mojang has taken this idea and put cobblestone walls in the latest 1.4 snapshot! So we’ll soon be seeing some of these walls in the vanilla game, very exciting. The image above is just one example of what is possible with this extraordinary mod.

Have you ever wondered what you could possibly do with your left over iron. You could save it, turn it into blocks, make spare weapons and tools. But, there really isnt need to do that at the time. Why don’t you spice up your base, scrap those wooden doors, replace them with iron doors. No, thats definatly not enough. That trap door over there just doesnt fit in with everything else. Well then, I suppose it is time to make an iron trapdoor.
With the metal rods mod you are able to craft iron rods which can be used to craft items and blocks such as iron trapdoors, Bows, weapons, and tools. The durability of a wooden sword with the sticks replaced by iron rods will be boosted dramatically. Not only this, but gold rods are also added. This wont affect the durability of tools and weapons much, but it will give you something to do with that useless gold.
This mod is perfect for both builders, and hardcore survival players. This can boost the value, and defensive rating of your base and home. It can be used as a perfect defense or strategic attack ability against your friends. Thats right, this mod is SMP compatible. Chill out with your new metal rods in minecraft with friends. Your first goal was to find diamonds, and find diamonds you did. So use them too! Make diamond rods, I mean why waste them or throw them into your chest when you can have a doubly strong diamond pickaxe on your hands. It would be a great masterpiece to show off to your friends.

- Download and install Modloader or Minecraft Forge
- Download the Trampoline 1.4.7 Mod.
- Go into the start menu, Type %appdata% into the search bar. Click search. Click on the .minecraft folder.
